I don’t know about you, but December is my all-time, always-good, cookie-and-cheer-filled FAVORITE month of the year.
Not only do I get to celebrate my birthday with my dear friends and go shopping for Christmas gifts for my family, but I get to be a part of the MAGIC of New York in December. We may not have snow (yet!), but we have holiday lights, and carolers, and amazing pop-up markets, and call me crazy, but I think everyone is just a teensy bit friendlier to one another, too.
This December hasn’t brought too much in the acting world, but I’ve had some great auditions and a wonderful opportunity to be a reader (and subsequently audition and get called back!) at auditions for a new musical. I love getting to meet people on creative teams, and to see a work get its very start in front of your eyes. I’m excited now to watch the project develop from afar, and see the actors whose auditions I watched so carefully make the parts their own.
But enough about work. Let’s play!
I’m trying to spend more and more time with my guitar lately and have been working on my songwriting, too. I wanted to share this song with all of you because it’s very dear to my heart (and especially at this time of year).
It’s a December (Love) Song. The secret is that I’m not actually in love right now, but I think I got most of the feelings right.
Let me know what you think.
With love,
Rebecca
